My name is Joanne Oliver, and I am the creator and Baker of The Bougie Baker.
This amazing adventure began in a tiny kitchen in Bahrain (a small country east of Saudi Arabia). It was my daughters 13th birthday and she wanted fudge sundae cupcakes. No where on the island did such things exist. So, I decided to try to make them myself.

This amazing adventure began in a tiny kitchen in Bahrain (a small country east of Saudi Arabia). It was my daughters 13th birthday and she wanted fudge sundae cupcakes. No where on the island did such things exist. So, I decided to try to make them myself. Only God knew what would happen following the birthday party. My best friend Cynthia Demeritte was my first customer. She purchased 3 dozen cupcakes and took them to work. The rest is history. Word spread quickly. I am so humbled and honored to be acknowledged by my customers, sharing their love for what I do.
